Antikhallarna

Västra Hamngatan 6, Göteborg

Scandinavia’s biggest permanent antique and collector’s market, in a former bank building. There are around ten shops here, offering tens of thousands of antiques and collectibles – including furniture, porcelain, coins, books, art, and much more. In the same building, you’ll find Latterian, a cosy café serving breakfast, lunch, and homemade treats. Latterian also offers a good selection of vegan and gluten-free options. The History of the Building The building that now houses Antikhallarna was originally commissioned by the then Skandinaviska Kreditaktiebolaget as a grand bank palace. Designed by architects Axel and Hjalmar Kumlien, the building features a Neo-Renaissance style inspired by Roman architecture. The bank moved in as early as 1885, although the building wasn’t fully completed until 1905. Since 1975, it has been home to Antikhallarna – a centre for antiques and unique objects.
