Cliff Burton Museum

At the Cliff Burton Museum in Lagan, Småland, you can honor the memory of Metallica's legendary bassist, Cliff Burton. The museum, inaugurated in 2022, is dedicated to Burton's life and musical legacy. Cliff Burton tragically died at the age of 24 when the tour bus crashed in Dörarp north of Ljungby in 1986. The museum includes the memorial stone erected by fans in 2006 and offers a place where visitors can learn more about Burton's life and career. The memorial stone is located in Dörarp, in the heart of Sagobygden, where tales and legends are cherished. Fans from around the world make pilgrimages here, leaving a guitar pick or a beer can on the stone and visiting the museum. Exhibits include a replica of Lars Ulrich's drum kit from Cliff's last tour,T features photos, albums, posters, and tickets, as well as a small stage recreating Burton's final gig in Solna, Sweden.
