Parkgatan 35, Göteborg
Exercishuset is today one of Gothenburg’s oldest sports halls. It remains an important meeting place and is still used for activities such as table tennis, dance and school sports classes. The building can also be booked for various events through the City of Gothenburg’s sports and association administration. The hall was built in 1867 thanks to a donation from merchant and local politician Julius Lindström. King Oscar II provided the land on what was then Exercisheden, and the architect Frans Jacob Heilborn was commissioned to design the building.
