Göteborgs Naturhistoriska Museum

The permanent exhibition showcases the history of the Earth and the evolution of life. Don’t miss the dinosaur skeleton, the fossils, or the beautiful corals! The museum houses all Nordic bird species as well as many birds from around the world. You can also peek into Olof Gylling’s well-preserved dioramas from the 1920s. At Café Malmska Valen, environmentally certified according to the Västra Götaland Region’s environmental programme, you can enjoy homemade cakes and lunch. The museum shop offers a wide selection of nature- and animal-themed items – everything from eco-friendly cleaning products and toys to jewellery and books. Temporary exhibitions, lectures, guided tours, and children’s activities are also part of the programme.
