Göteborgs Spårvägsmuseum

J Sigfrid Edströms gata 2, Göteborg

At Göteborgs Spårvagnsmuseum, located in the old tram depot in Gårda, you’ll gain insight into Gothenburg’s tram history. The museum is run on a voluntary basis by Spårvägssällskapet Ringlinien. Here, you can explore exhibitions on tram fares through the ages, the development of uniforms from the early 1900s to the 1970s, and historical photographs of the museum trams on display. In addition, there is a tram simulator featuring a driver’s console from the 1950s. The entrance ticket also includes a guided tour of the tram depot, where trams from different eras are on display. You’ll see everything from a preserved horse-drawn tram, to the vehicles that operated on the tram line Angeredsbanan from 1969 onwards. The depot, built in 1930, should not be confused with the newer facility located nearby. The museum is open on Sundays.
