Mat & DryckKafé Magasinet
In a historic building that once housed the city’s auction hall, you’ll now find Kafé Magasinet. Located on Tredje Långgatan, right in what used to be Gothenburg’s harbour district, the café is surrounded by restaurants, bars and creative spaces. Like a living room. From morning until late Step inside and you might wonder whether Kafé Magasinet is a café, a wine bar or more like a living room. The answer is probably a bit of everything. The atmosphere blends the feel of an espresso bar, a Jewish deli and a laid-back pub, all under one roof. Open from early morning until late at night, Kafé Magasinet makes it just as easy to stop in for a morning coffee as it is to stay for pizza and wine in the evening. Kafé Magasinet opened in 2014 with a simple idea – to create a space that’s always open and where the atmosphere is shaped by the people who come through the doors. Since then, the café has expanded and is now the perfect stop if you’re looking for something more than just your average café or bar. Organic and fair The espresso coffee is both organic and Fairtrade certified, and much of the food is made using sustainable ingredients. The menu is simple and inviting, with breakfast plates, sandwiches, salads and stone-baked pizza. There is also a carefully selected range of beer and wine if you feel like staying a little longer.
