SevärdheterMaska Studio
Since 2009, Maska has produced high‑quality garments in natural materials such as mohair, wool and cashmere. The collection mainly consists of knitted jumpers and cardigans, but also includes woven pieces such as shirts, trousers and coats. The garments reflect Scandinavian design philosophy and long textile traditions, created to feel timeless and to last, with environmental responsibility at heart. Maska began in Borås, where founder Maria Svensson spent much of her childhood in a sewing workshop started by her great‑grandmother. That early experience laid the foundation for Maria’s passion for textiles and inspired her to develop her own brand. Today, Maska has grown and is sold in more than 70 stores around the world. At Maska’s studio shop at the street Fjärde Långgatan 6 in Gothenburg, you’ll get the chance to see, feel and try selected pieces from the collection. The shop is open Wednesday to Friday and also offers a repair service for your Maska garments. This service is part of the brand’s own commitment to circular thinking and sustainable consumption. The shop’s range also includes selected pieces from sample sales, limited sizes and collaborations with other designers who share Maska’s values of sustainability, material knowledge and timeless design.
